The Peryton (Cervus volucer) is a winged stag which may have escaped the destruction of Atlantis before coming to the Alps.
Description
They are eight to twelve feet high and eat mountain plants. They do not have a lair but young keep to the high crags before they develop flight.T hey can use their horns defensively.
